A Day in the Life at Fleurtations day 23

  • Alarm goes off, this is going to be a good day, sometimes you can just feel it (there's no disturbance in the force).
  • Shower, dressed in my new Rohan winter bags (which have been hanging around for months waiting for their moment) and down to check the emails, someone from India is asking for an exact delivery time and the Russian ladies are asking for a way in, time to delete and leave for the flower market.
  • Into the van, todays CD Wishbone Ash "Argus" a very old album but still fabulous.
  • Need Strelitzia and Sunflower for an internet order plus Orchids and interesting Lily, back to put the plants out, breakfast, phonecalls, finances, time for the deliveries.
  • The weather needs to stay nice because there is a pile (literally) of soft toys, pachamama jackets and chocolates that need photographing and as our preference is to do this outside (we have lots of zero days but that of course is a consequence of living in England).
  • Finish the deliveries, dash back for the photograghs, the wind has got up and it's nearly impossible, picture this, holding down the photo booth with one hand, the soft toy with the other hand and the camera with the other, this means of course that you are a new species with three hands!
  • Photos taken, downloaded, resized and stored, by this time it's belting it down, time for more optimising need to quickly sort this one because I'm going out, today the flower baskets come under the microscope http://www.fleurtations.uk.com/floral_flower_baskets.asp these are great value for money and more people need to know about them.
  • Finish just in time, the horn sounds outside and I escape for a night of relative peace (great word relative).
  • Home late, time for bed.
