A Day in the Life at Fleurtations Day 38

  • A day of fears and emotions but happy conclusions.
  • Overlay again!
  • Stumble into the shower, ready, take kids to school (everyone is late).
  • Todays CD Bob Dylans "Blonde on Blonde", I could listen to "Sad eyed lady of the lowlands" every day and never get bored.
  • Market, back, plants out, breakfast, a lot to do today, phonecalls, Andy is getting married needs his winter hanging baskets and large Buxus replanting, Monica needs her hanging baskets, plants need collecting from the Lace Market and scented candles need ordering plus a full days maintenances, an almost impossible day.
  • Then arrives the bullet from the blue, mum comes back from the doctors and has been told to report immediately to the hospital for further tests. Now, like me you probably don't particularly like hospitals, the news "immediately sounds all my alarm bells simultaneously, thoughts of imminent disaster run riot. My day is turned on it's head. I take mum to the hospital via Andys house, leave Andy a happy man and then spend 5 hours at the hospital trying to cajoul information about mums condition. After blood tests, blood pressure, X-ray, cardia tests we sit numbly watching day time TV. After 3 hours you feel suicidal, wanting to smash the TV to pieces.
  • The verdict comes back, mum has an irregular heart beat but seems non life threatening, huge relief, time for a coffee.
  • Arrive back, quick phonecalls and out comes the laptop, tonights SOE has to be really fast the match is only a couple of hours away and there are still some broken links to find.
  • The funeral speciality tributes page is this evenings topic, no particular reason why I picked that one. It's a great page located at http://www.fleurtations.uk.com/funeral_speciality_tributes.asp vertually every image is covered including watering cans, boats, wheelbarrows, butterflies, caravans, darts, fishermen, cats, tankers etc, check out the list you'll be amazed.
  • Finish with minutes to spare, change and dash off, it's a pretty good game 9-9, back for a shower, time for an early night.
