Pachamama began in 1990 trading goods from the Andean Mountains of South America, Pachamama translates as 'Earth Mother' from the ancient language of the Incas.
Since 1996 they have also been trading in handmade wool and cotton products from Nepal.
At a time when the high streets are populated by the same chain stores, selling the same mass produced clothes, it is Pachamama's aim to help people express their individuality by offering them something a little different.
They design and manufacture a huge range of products including their superb Headbands collection, these are available in muliple designs, with fleece or fur lining, and all sporting the Pachamama Logo.
Pachamama is a proud member of BAFTS - the British Association for Fair Trade Shops and Suppliers.
So all of the Pachamama designs are fairly traded and are now solely handmade in Nepal, handnitted by local villagers, using 100% wool and natural dyes with 100% polyester fleece linings.
Many customers tell us that they 'just live in their Pachamama knitwear' and nearly all of our staff wear Pachamama themselves, particularly the handwarmers, headbands and beanies.
The headbands are perfect for keeping your ears warm when it's chilly outdoors!
From a care perspective they require a machine wool wash (max 30 degrees) or a cool handwash followed by a quick spin and flat dry. Do not tumble dry.
