A Day in the Life at Fleurtations day 13

  • Alarm goes off and Monday morning arrives, it's the only good thing about working every day, you don't get the "Monday morning blues".
  • Shower, ready, down stairs, check emails - looks promising, lots of enquiries for funeral work.
  • Into the van, todays CD is an old Rosie Thomas album called "When we were small", it's a little gem particularly "wedding day".
  • Arrive at the market, discuss the weekends football.
  • Back to the shop, put the plants out.
  • Breakfast, phone the bank, other phone calls, flower price list, recheck emails.
  • Back to the van and off to deliver the company flowers.
  • 13.30 arrive back, lunch and open the laptop it's more optimising. Today it's www.fleurtations.uk.com/jellycat_2.asp more stock has arrived and we are filling in the gaps on the existing pages.
  • We have decided to change all of the web page titles and so it's a massive job relinking to what seems like countless websites (sometimes you have to wonder at the almost mind numbing work load, when you could be doing something nice instead like going to see a live band or fly fishing in a Welsh river and going to the pub talking of the ones that got away).
  • 19.35 finish on the lap top, get ready quick, it's time for football.
  • Loose after a spirited defence, back home and it's time to send some emails and write the blog only there is the welcomed distraction of a champagne cork hitting next doors roof!
  • The music goes on Dr John, great piano player.
  • Phone the market, bed for 24.00.
