A Day in the Life at Fleurtations day 45

  • Google does me no favours and the dreaded hotel Christmas decorations.
  • Up, shower, ready, down to check emails.
  • Todays CD "Lexicon of Love" by ABC a great album, pity they never did anything this good again
  • Back from the flower market, Christmas trees out plus holly wreaths and plants, very slippery underfoot, there's been a heavy snow shower, it's freezing.
  • Breakfast, lots of calls to order more stock, the free box of dark chocolate mints arrived looking like semolina pudding with chocolate chips (I think someone had a bad day and stuck the boot in - lots of times).
  • Out to catch up on some maintenances, sort out the new page titles for the Jellycat pages and swing back to Nottingham to start the dreaded hotel Christmas decorations. This involves twisting garlands around several large pillars, swags for the reception, three 7ft trees to erect and completely decorate plus more swags for restaurant and bar areas, suffice to say it takes an eternity.
  • 19.30 crawl back to the van, home, changed, out to play football, only 7 turn up so we play 3 on 4 using half the pitch, not a bad game all things considered.
  • Arrive back 21.15 time for tonights SEO which I fancy doing like a hole in the head.
  • Still, Google has been ignoring content and putting us consistantly on page 2 and beyond, so I have to attempt to look at all the possibilities for improvement, no matter how small.
  • The whacky bags page comes up for a revamp tonight although why we called it "whacky bags" I will never know, no one will possibly find them under that heading, although to be fair they are whacky (see photo).
  • Found at http://www.fleurtations.uk.com/handbags_shoulderbags.asp and comprising of a cracking selection from panda's to fairies, holdalls to handbags, most of them come from Jellycat and Pachamama, all really well made at a good price.
  • Finish very late, it's 01.23, time for bed.
